Herbs & Dried Seafood

The vast majority of Chinese immigrants in Chinatown come from Guangdong or Fujian provinces, which are both coastal areas. As a result, seafood is big here, and there are many markets and shops that sell dried seafood. They're great for throwing into soups and stews, among many other dishes. You'll also find plenty of dried herbs, which both make for delicious ingredients in tea and soup, and have medicinal uses as well.
