Medicinal Herbs

中药

There's a centuries-old tradition of traditional medicine in China that relies on the use of herbs. Depending on a person's symptoms, an herbologist may recommend specific herbs, or combinations of them, to drink steeped together as a tea, or to consume in other forms, for example ground together and formed into pills for swallowing. The traditional Chinese approach to medicine is more holistic and preventative than outright treatment per se, so don't expect immediate and obvious miracles from the treatments you try. Instead, it's about delicately adjusting the overall balance of the body.
